The all or nothing mindset
I woke up a bit late today. I expected it since I stayed up a bit late. I snoozed once and even in my drowsy state I knew my morning schedule was not happening the way I had planned. But this time I wanted to have a different approach with this sort of a situation. I decided to wake up and do the best of what was planned. Something like:
|
Plan |
Modification when life happens |
|
Don’t snooze the alarm and wake up |
Not get bogged down that I already snoozed it once so I might as well
sleep. Instead, just wake up once you realise what is really happening |
|
Make an elaborate breakfast |
Don’t, this can be managed outside for a day with decent choices |
|
30 min workout |
15 min quick workout etc |
I did this with almost everything
I did. This helped me achieve few things:
1. Acknowledging
that I am not a robot – sometimes I wont make perfect choices.
2. Prioritizing
what matters most – workout, show up, hit the mat.
3. Keeping promises to yourself feels great.
We all fall of the wagon but we fret
so much about it that the wagon is flowing away in front of our eyes. The trick
is to catch it quickly before its gone, AKA showing up with whatever little
your have for the day.
