The best Manager in the world.

They work from home and have insane work timings. The scope of their job is so dynamic that it cannot even be defined. And yes, most importantly their pay is either poor or mostly nothing. Yes, I am talking of homemakers. We often hear people say that being a homemaker is a thankless job where in it is in fact a job that we need to be most thankful for.

If any of our mothers (actually even fathers these days… hallelujah to that!) are homemakers and you take out a day to observe her you will be surprised at how much they pull off. And very little of this is for themselves. Even when there are house helps today, managing them is another task on its own. So, from ensuring that everyone is well fed to restocking supplies to every single seemingly miniscule task which needs to be done, they do it all, hence making them the best managers in the world.

That one person that stays back is a comfort for the rest of us who step out to work. The value of these managers is severely undermined and taken for granted as this role does not seem to be monetized as yet. Although money can never compensate what they do.

If people stepping out and earning are the providers, these homemakers are the enablers.
